Rare, extravagant hamon in Sudare-ba with tama-ba on each side of the boshi. This temper is typical of the Mishina school, you can’t see it anywhere else.
Very nice activity with a profusion of Nie, sunagashi and kinsuji.

The sugata of this blade is harmonious with a significant curvature and a respectable width which give it a certain elegance.
The koshirae, on the theme of the dragon, is of high quality. The elements are mainly made in shakudo and the workmanship is remarkable.
The tsuba is made of iron and also represents a finely chiseled dragon. This one is signed Seijo, of the Goto school. His Kinko Meikan rank is « Ryoko » to « Joko ».

The Mishina school is divided into two branches, Yamashiro (Kyoto) branch and Settsu (osaka) branch.
Yoshimichi, also called Mishina Kaneuemon worked in Settsu, he was the son and pupil of the shodai Kyoto Yoshimichi and received the honorary title Tanba no kami in Shoho (1644-1648).
Yoshimichi was particularly popular thanks to the development of less conventional and very aesthetic tempers such as sudare-ba or ô-midare.
He also distinguished himself by the use of nanban tetsu, which definitely made him an extraordinary blacksmith artist.
