Gorgeous ubu and signed blade, large and thick, in perfect condition of preservation and enriched with two parallel Futasuji-bi grooves on each side.
Hamon in niedeki gunome midare with ashi giving it a choji style.
Kitae made in itame with mokume variants in the Seki koto style.
The Koshirae is of high quality with Goto elements in fine nanako-ji shakudo on a floral and vine theme. The saya is decorated with a beautiful lacquer typical of the Owari school.

The Shimosaka school was founded by Ichisaemon Yasutsugu, a blacksmith from Shimosaka in the province of Omi.
Sadatsugu was the pupil of Sandai Yasutsugu of the Echizen branch, and he is considered one of the most prestigious blacksmiths of this school.
School whose particularity was the production of high quality horimono as we can easily see on this gorgeous blade.
